KWO is looking forward to playing at the 'East Anglia and South East' regional National Concert Band Festival heats. The band is hoping to impress the judges with its performance of Frank Tichelli's jazzy 'Blue Shades' and Martin Ellerby's atmospheric work 'From Kitty Hawk to the Stars'. Next year's NCBF national finals will be held at The Sage, Gateshead, on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April.

KWO will headline the 9th London New Wind Festival in central London. The orchestra will be performing an exciting programme of contemporary classical and new music - including Stephen McNeff's Wasteland Wind Music II, Frank Tichelli's Blue Shades, Martin Ellerby's From Kitty Hawk to the Stars and Malcolm Arnold's English Dances II. Improvisation trombonist Alan Tomlinson, Molten Brass, and the Adrian Northover Sax Quartet will also be performing.

The orchestra will be jetting out to Germany to perform a challenging one-hour programme at the International Berlin Wind Music Festival.

KWO will be performing in the stunning central London setting of St James's Park. The concert includes the world premiere of Sir Malcolm Arnold's 'Four Welsh Dances' in the new version for wind orchestra by Peter Parkes. This premiere performance is part of the celebrations for Sir Malcolm's 85th birthday year.
St James Park is steeped in historical, political and literary associations with magnificent views of Buckingham Palace, the Mall and Horseguards Parade. With a lake harbouring ducks, geese and pelicans, it is the perfect spot to wile away a Saturday afternoon while being entertained by the band.
This is an ideal event for families and deckchairs are available for hire.

KWO is delighted to confirm a debut concert with award-winning XBY Concert Band at this stunning central London concert venue. It is the first time that these two acclaimed amateur ensembles have performed side-by-side. KWO will put on an entertaining 'Last night of the Proms' programme for this family-friendly concert. Bring a picnic and the national flag to celebrate the best of British. The programme includes rousing classics such as Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance as well as popular movie arrangements such as John Williams' Star Wars. The annual event, which is organised by the Cole Park Residents Association, also features games and entertainment for children.
